February 26th, 2016 – March 19th, 2016
Strange Neighbour is pleased to present an exhibition of drawings by DAVID WEST (FRANCE/USA) & RUBY KNIGHT (AUST) curated by Linsey Gosper.
We are very excited to be exhibiting David West’s work for the first time in Australia alongside local emerging artist Ruby Knight. Both West & Knight’s practices are heavily based in unique forms of portraiture. This exhibition focuses on West’s ongoing series of drawings of musicians performing, and various portraits of West’s creative friends. Ruby Knight’s work is constructed around her personal experiences and people familiar to her, often reflecting on share house living and socialising. Like West she focuses on the community in which she lives.
