Terry Taylor
August 14th, 2013 – August 17th, 2013

This will be the only opportunity to see ‘THE HIT LIST’ series in Australia in its totality. Fifty new paintings from 2013 and 40 projected images of paintings from 2012 will be exhibited altogether for the first time.

The exhibition is a unique glimpse of 90 infamous, evil perpetrators of injustice against humanity, as skull portraits. Although Terry’s paintings are of skulls, they are strangely optimistic and humorous. They are rich and finely detailed, containing elements of religious, tribal, medieval and historical imagery.

In September this series of oil paintings will travel to Germany to be exhibited in her third solo exhibition at Galerie Frank Schlag. Terry’s work is being increasingly recognized and sought after in Europe where she has a long exhibition history. We believe a stronger Australian audience for Terry’s work should be fostered, and hope to introduce a new audience to her practice.

You can read an article published in The Age about Terry’s upcoming solo exhibition here.
